Hi-Tech Restaurant. A new way to order burgers.

The simple no frills sign outside the Metcalfe Street location seems to say there is something different about iBurger.

It’s the touch screen tabletops..not Microsoft Surface but the owners will only say the technology is Quebec based. But. for waiter Francis Guillbault the underlying technology doesn’t change how he does his job.

The interactive table turns the job of scanning the menu and choosing what to order into a community experience.

I found the interactive table easy and fun to use despite some of the ragged English translations

And my burger looked prety much like the picture on the menu.

But, was it any good? Personally I found it average and a bit pricey but restaurant reviews are not my forte. Fortunately Gazette foodie Sarah Musgrave was also by this week and you can read her review in Saturday’s Gazette.
