Nintendo will launch the 3D version of it’s enduring DS portable gaming console at Future Shop on March 27.
The big question is will it sell in light of ongoing health questions? Nintendo warns on its Japanese web site that use of the Nintendo 3DS could damage the eyes of children under the age of 6. The company says some specialists believe that “there is a possibility that 3-D images which send different images to the left and right eye could affect the development of vision in small children.”
Nintendo is not alone warning that watching 3D content could be damaging to young eyes. Both Toshiba and Sony post warnings on their 3D products.
The attraction of 3D without glasses notwithstanding, how do you feel about buying this new gadget for your kids?
